04 E55 HELP ! Crank / no start / noise / video
Alright after many years I have decided to hop back into a e55
on the way into work this AM I set the cruise at 45mph and shortly after I heard some spitting and sputtering and the car started losing power , shifted it into neutral and the car died . Got it towed back home and started to check into the simple things fuel pump relay replaced , CPS replaced , double checked for fuel getting to the rail (shrader valve) , checked to make sure the car was getting spark . Everything checks out
attatched is a video what the car sounds like trying to fire , getting little pops from the exhaust .
where my wizards at ?

What is the fuel pressure at the Schrader valve? Should be approximately 5.1 Bar (75 psi) or so. Failure of all cylinders would be either Motor Electronics failure or fuel failure. The description makes me lean towards fuel. How do the fuel pumps' top hat connections appear? Check for burned/melted connections.
If it was one of my old Ford or Chevy vehicles, I would say timing chain jumped but I regard that as unlikely here.

i didn’t measure the pressure I just pushed in and made sure some fuel came out which it didn’t but there was not a lot of pressure there . After work today I will run a test and see what the pressure actually is . Then if need be I will look deeper into the fuel system. I’d think if it jumped timing or anything timing related I’d have some codes showing up but I don’t have any at all .

Here are the results from testing the fuel pressure , I did notice if I cycle the key a few time it will jump up to 72ish and slowly drop down .
not sure what this sound is but to me it almost makes me think timing , but then again no codes

Well I went ahead and decided to pull off the passenger side valve cover and well the cam gear bolt decided to back itself out . Looks like I’m going to have a fun time with this car , hoping for no bent valves or further damage done . Will begin the tear down this weekend .
