Crank lock for valve stem seals.
I need to replace the seals on a couple of the 113 engines I have, I was thinking a crank lock would make it easier by not needing to turn the engine at all. Not really a fan the timing chain accidentally skipping a tooth or crank turning backwards when air is applied. Do you think it would be beneficial?

No. No reason for it in my opinion. I have replaced all springs and seals and did not have an issue.
Remember to just bring the piston up to each hole you are working on and even if a valve drops,and it will, it will just hit the piston.
Turning the engine is really a very small step to do so it's worth it to me but if not,lock it down,fill cylinders with air and do one at a time.
