Question on rev limiter (upshift)
Anyway...
I read that the 55 does not have a rev limiter that will kick me up a gear in manual shift mode. On the 500...when I shifted one gear too low and R's came up to high..I got kicked into higher gear.
Is that true on the 55....yea or nay. (automatic upshift at rev limit)
Thanks guys.
Ole Mr. S4....daddy's coming....get ready.
I guess it's just that in the past.... in my zeal in the 500, I kicked it into 2nd instead of 3rd manually and if it wasn't for rev limit upshift...motor woulda been toast. If 55 does not have that...I will be extra careful.
If anyone has any info......
isn't that a good thing? If it shifted for u, it defeats the purpose of manual mode. I hated the auto upshift in our E500
All the engines have a rev limiter anyway so ur not going to destroy it... The car will stop you from revving too high
