Need Transmission ASAP

Looking to buy a used transmission if possible. Under 100k miles would be great. Haven't had the best luck trying to find one. eBay prices are a bit high, if I'm spending in the 2k range might as well have a rebuilt one.
Located in Los Angeles, CA. My car is sitting at the shop, so would like to purchase one asap. I had originally bought one from the UK with 87k miles, but it's been stuck in transit for nearly 3 weeks now.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Used transmission:
Pros:
-cheaper
Cons:
-Unknown abuse
-Unknown mileage (no matter what the salvage yard claims)
-Unknown maintenance
-Warranty?
-Labor cost to remove old and install replacement
-While you are in there replace the rear main seal
Rebuilt transmission:
Pros:
-New parts and full inspection
-You control the maintenance cycle
-You control the mechanical empathy of stressing the transmission
Cons:
-Labor cost to replace the transmission (surprisingly the same as the used transmission)
-While you are in there replace the rear main seal
Bite the bullet and rebuild yours. FWIW, about 23 years ago I blew a manual transmission (2nd gear) in my turbocharged 1991 Miata. Bought a salvage yard transmission that was allegedly a 1996 low miles transmission. Had the VIN plate on it. Would you believe that "1996" transmission literally rolled off the assembly line in Hiroshima, Japan, the exact same day as my 1991 Miata? Amazing feat of time travel. I refused that transmission and purchased another used transmission. No VIN plate to verify date of build. Refused it. Ordered a third transmission. No VIN plate to verify build. Refused it. Contacted an acquaintance in California on the Miata forum for assistance. He had a known-mileage, known-year transmission with the VIN plate for confirmation attached.
People lie.
Bite the bullet and spend the money. Nothing worse than being deceived or having to perform the same job twice because you were trying to save a few bucks...
Been there, done that, got multiple T-shirts...

Like you, I also have a W210 E55, but mine is a '00 car. Our W211's are the same year though. Thought I was the only one who owned both
He heard some squealing sound he didn’t like, I couldn’t hear it.He insisted on fiddling with it some more and had the car flatbedded to me. Never had another transmission issue.
