HRE's compatible w/ Tire Press. Mon. Sys???
I'm thinking of getting some new HRE's staggered 20's, multi-piece wheels w/ custom painted, matching color centers for my Techtite E55. Car currently has TPMS. Dealer cautiously warns me that if I transfer my valve stems from my old stock wheels onto the new HRE's, the system should continue functioning just fine. He warns me that the valve stems may not fit on the new wheels and that I may need special washers from HRE to serve as adapters to ensure the stems stay put. Anyone know anything about this subject? I would hate to lose the function of the TPM system just for the sake of the new HRE's however they are sweet wheels! Does anyone have the number for HRE so that I can call them?

Most of the HRE wheels that I know of will not accept the TPMS sensors. Anything with a reverse lip design I know for sure wont accept them.
The trick I have used on many of my cars was to cut the TMPS sensor at the valvestem so that only the plastic body piece remains. Epoxy the TPMS sensor to the centerline of the wheel and place a band clamp over them.
This is the technique that most aftermarket TPMS packages use and I have used it successfully on many cars.
