This question could not have come at a better time my friend. I have researched these rods extensively and was/am very close to buying a set without the rod bolts. They would be 600.00 shipped to me from China. That is a massive difference in price from the 2,500.00 Pauter and 3,300.00 Weisco rods. Both are billet 4340 chrome moly and you are almost guaranteed the best possible rod but 3k is steep. The only major issue I have is the quality of the steel because all metals are not the same. If I do buy a set then I would Cryogenic them and do a WPC treatment and then the price would be around 1,200.00 which is still cheaper. The pistons I have had in my hands and was not really turned on by them but again the price is cheap.
