Wanted to get a recommendation from the Benz owners here on the best winter tire for our rear wheel drive monsters.
I recently moved to rural Alberta Canada from the city and my 6 year old off brand winter tires don't cut it anymore. I've gotten stuck multiple times in deep snow. However, I can drive when it's packed down and even if there's ice. To get out of my driveway is a bit of an incline as well.
Is getting studded tires better than some fancy brand name ones that aren't studded? It's legal to have studded tires in Alberta as an FYI.
I'm ok getting a brand name tire if it's not going to leave me stuck.
