Damn...

Just got the dreaded surge. I had it once when I first got my car but lately its been happening a lot. At very low speeds, with my foot off the gas, the car just surges. Braking stops the car, but its unexpected and might be dangerous in stop and go traffic. I'll make an appointement.

Norb, has the car shut off on you at all? When my car is ready to "stall" it starts to feel a little "lungy". In fact the last time I was rolling to a stop with my foot on the brake and the as I was coming to a stop the car lunged forward. If my foot was not on the brake I would have hit the car in front of me.

I brought the car in last Friday to have it checked out (again) and with a regional tech there they replaced the crank sensor. I wonder if that might be your problem?

On another note was talking to the guys who did my Renntech and one of their customers with an SL55 was exiting a car wash and the car accelerated across the lot!! Witnesses have reported that they saw the brake lights screaming and the car would not stop. Car suffered extensive damage, but no one was hurt. Scary stuff.

Wow, about the SL story!
I guess I have just been lucky so far, I have not felt the surge.

Yeah, they've already retained an attorney. They won't give the car to MB becasue they don't want MB pulling the "black box"
