Boought myself a tiny Christmas present of K & N's for the 55 and they slip on no problem at all.

EVEN RESORTED TO STARTING IT AND ROLLING BACK AND FORTH A LITTLE TO SEE IF I COULD GET HER WIGGLE OUT OF HER LITTLE HIDING SPOT....

I keep a telescoping magnetized pickup tool - available at any parts store - for just such emergencies. Too bad they prolly won't be open until Sunday AM. Wait until you can get it in natural daylight to get a better view.

BTW, if you're sliding under the car, hope you've got jackstands set!

Just remove the shields on the bottom for more access to the tranny and oil pan. Good luck.

Do you have a friend who is a urologist? or a pulmonologist? I have an old worn out flexible cystoscope that I use to stick into tight places to get things out. It is invaluable.

I helped my friend who is a ASE mechanic do a washerectory on a 911 turbo. Saved a lot on time not having to pull the intake.

As long as it is ferrous material a magnet will work. I have resorted to putting double sided tape onto a flexible grabber that I got at Autozone also.

Another trick is to improvise a dental mirror then use an extremely bright light. LED or halogen from another direction can help locate the part.

Found it!! Had to pull the plastic plate off the bottom which wasn't all that bad. Just 5 or 6 bolts. Then slide alllll the way underneath and peak around and there she was.

Thanks for the info.

Getting the drag radials on next week....should be fun.

Here's to a twin turbo 2005!!!!
