Detail of Annyson's 600 HP E55

Well, i finally have some time to go dig up my magazine and look up information on Annyson's motormax E55.

His car crushed an E55 with Kleeman E55 K2 in the same test.

Motor Max E55- 0-100km/hr 4.4 second, 1/4 12.26 @ 122.8 mph.
100-200km/h in 8.24 second.

Kleeman E55 K2- 0-100km/hr 5.02, 1/4 12.91 @ 119 mph, 100-200 km/hr 9.01 second

Motor max E55 mod cost is $580,000 NTS or roughly $16,500 USD.

Mod-
Chiptronic ECU- raises the Boost to 1.0 Bar
Motormax oil cooler
Motormax fuel cooler
Motormax water intercooler
Motormax pulley
Motormax header, mid pipe, and exhaust (hand crafted).

Motor max claim output at crank is 600HP. Kleeman K2 i believe is 560HP.

A 12.91 @ 119mph tells me that he was spinning too much out of the gate,
Any 119mph trap speed should easily be low 12's all day long!!

122mph Trap speed in the Annyson is STRONG though!!!

True, traction must have been bad. The numbers almost look funny with a 12.91 at 119 mph?

He is also the one who posted this 308kmh video: http://myweb.hinet.net/home7/annyson/308KM.mpg (right click save as)

No idea what mods the car had when the vid was done, other than delimiter.

Here are pics of my new 2005 E55 K2 with Dyno at 501 HP. I will not have track times until the summer, but will post them when I get them.

You gotta understand that drag results all vary depending on many different factors. Anyone from socal ran 11's?

The road condition in taiwan is not that good. Plus this magazine has never been able to come up with number that is close to manf. or runs by other magazine. The only thing that you can conclude from the test was that during that particular test, the Kleeman K2 lost to the motormax E55. Both were on the after market tire of same size. (BTW, this magazine ran a stock M3 in 0-100 km/hr in 6.5 second, a full second behind the worse test i have seen). I believe if the mod were done here and test here, both car would be at least 0.5 second faster if not faster.

The klemman was wearing Pirelli Rosso 275 30 R19, while the motor max was on bridgestone Potenza RE01R. Plus gas in taiwan is only so so.

I have heard of a E55 racing a Twin Turbo Supra. Supra ran 12.6 @ 12? and the E55 ran a blistering 11.6 @ 129! Conditions had to be perfect! A full second faster! Haven't been able to pull off a time slip, I'll post it up when I find it.

A quick question, we have a member that runs 12 flat, bone stock... so how is a E55 with over 100 more hp, barely running 12.2?

i think i already answered that question with post above.

This particular magazine has never been able to produce test number that are close to what manuf. claims or by any other magazine. This is a magazine that ran a stock M3 in 6.5 second in 0-100 km/hr, with 1/4 at 14.44 at just over 100 mph.

C&D's M3 ran 0-60 in 4.5 second, 1/4 at 13.1 at speed of 107 mph.

In other word, by C&D testing method, both E55 that were tested by this taiwanese magazine could a sub 4 second 0-60 car. So use the number with caution. I know it appears slow. But it simply due to lousy road in taiwan, poorer gas, and poorer testing equipment.

All we can say is that motor max's E55 beats Kleeman K2 in that particular test.

Does motormax have a website? I am currently back at my home in Taipei, Taiwan for another month until end of JAn.

Krispykrme, do you personally know if the company is in TAipei, cuz the license plate of the pictures of the chiptronic e55 is from taipei, Taiwan. Anyway, just wanted to do some research about motormax, because i have never heard of them.

i don't know where the company is. I only know who the owner is through a mutual friend of ours. Call this number.

(02)2331-3322, this will get you to the magazine (Taiwan motor). Just ask them for the E55 test they did in 12/2004 issue on the motormax E55.

I think annyson may be on vacation. I am not familiar with Motormax. I will be in taiwan next week. perhaps we can meet up and go there together.

Krsipykrme, for sure, just pm me ur cell phone before you come back to taiwan. And i will pm you mine. I am in taipei, i live on Ren-Ai Rd. Sec. 4. Do you also reside in Taipei? I would love to visit MotorMax autosport.

I talked to my friends in all of these car clubs (audi rs4 group and ferrari 360 pack) in taiwan, and they told me that the gas here is actually better than the US. We have 98 octane here as our super, 95 octane as regular and 93 as the base. Either way, they said Taiwan Motor does not specialize in German cars and that is definitley not their expertise. They test more japanese cars. Their times are usually very slow compared to every other Taiwan and Japanese motoring mags.

I also have seen a silver widebody Vaeth E55 (with the 6 pipes) roaming around the streets of Taipei. Very nice widebody kit, but do not really like the 6 pipes, a little too much. Will try to get my camera phone out next time i see it.

Acutally no. Taiwan's octane rating is different from US. Their 98 octane rating is same as 91 here in U.S.

i don't know what is my cell phone in taiwan, as i will have to use one of my relative's phone, since i am only spending about 2 weeks this time around. i will pm you when i arrive on saturday.

I live in Neihu, very close to costco in neihu in the industrial park. I send e-mail to motormax directly to setup a time so we can visit,

Yes. Bummer. I can only post Dyno results and brag about the HP increase. Can't prove anything until the warm weather rolls in. Just hope I can come close to your 1/4 run.
