Evosport Did a Great Job on My E55 Mods
I got my digital camera working and am now able to send pictures of the superb work done by Evosport over the past few months. They have installed up to Evo stage 3+ +which included the following:
(1) Stage 1 including ECU upgrade, pulleys, and front turn signal lenses
(2) Stage 2 including shorty headers, spark plug wires
(3) Stage 3 including high capacity pump, additional intercooler, intake spacers and overflow bottle
(4) Stage 3+ including resonator replacement pipes
(5) Stage 3++ including 19” HRE 547R wheels, Pirelli PS2 tires and Kleeman lowering module
In addition the following mods have been made by me:
(6) Aluminum pedals
(7) Wood trimmed steering wheel
(8) Rear Spoiler
Pictures of most of this stuff is shown below
I make the following comments:
(1) The car ran much better after the stage 1. Evo has published the dyno results from those mods
(2) The addition of stage 2 made the most difference in terms of feel but perhaps part might have been because the slight additional noise from the headers made it sound faster !!
(3) Stage 3 was to keep the power up once the care heated up and perhaps will make the most difference in the long run.
(4) The substitution of the resonator pipe made a noticeable difference in the sound but did not make it too loud and I would definitely do this
(5) The PS2 tires made a huge difference over the stock continentals in terms of noise reduction, harshness and handling.
(6) The overall effect of the wheels, tires and lowering was to make the car handle a lot better with some increase in harshness but it was not too bad.
Apparantly Mercedes did not want the car owner to know that the car was making over 500 hp at the rear wheels because we could not get it to dyno above about 5000 RPM where we were just under 500. This was also true on another car which had the same work done. Anyways the change in the car performance was substantial and Evosport stood behind every detail. Highly recommend them.

Thanks for the update - looks GREAT from the outside! I'd really like to see some underhood pics, especially of additional intercooler and related pieces.
You say the car wouldn't dyno above 5K rpm; in what gear were the pulls made?
Thanks!

contact evosport for info
I do not know what Evosport is currently charging for all of this stuff.
I paid for most of it but some was done under their development program. I would contact them directly.
The steering wheel was about $1400 and the spoiler was about $300 through Autowerkes in San Diego

(1) you can see the additional intercooler through the front grill. I will take some additional pictures of the details and post.
(2) Vadim at Evosport is an expert on dynoing. The car was dynoed a number of times and after a while just would shut off above 4500+. This apparantly was also true of another car that was dynoed a number of times. We tried to go into dyno mode and it did not help. The theory is that ESP is causing the interference and that after a certain number of runs the computer software says no more but we are not sure. No problem exceeding 5000 rpm on the road. Mercedes is no help.
Would appreciate any suggestions or theories from all of you out there.
It is frustrating knowing that the car is making more than 500 rwHp and lots of torque but not being able to measure it.

Beautiful! Congrats on the improved monster. The spoiler looks great, I think I may start with that. Also, I really like the turn signal mod on the front, very nice!!!

Sorry, I meant Michelin PS2
I made an obvious mistake on the tires.. They are Michelin PS2, recommended sizes of course. They fit perfectly. Would not go with larger sizes

Forgot about a few things
(1) I do have K@N's. Put them on when the car was new. Also changed the snorkle on the drivers side
(2) The wires are older and do not have the Evosport stickers

Very nice car you have there!! Congrats!
Does this mean the EvoSport cooling upgrade kit is now available for sale?
Maybe we should see if we can get a group purchase going on a kit.. I am sure alot of E55'ers would love to have this upgrade.. I for one have been waiting patiently for someone to release a cooling kit. Its the first thing I want to do before ECU, pullies.
