So when will the announcement on new 55 motor and the 65 be anyway?
I am new to the Benz "new model unveiling" thing. I keep hearing October thrown around. Is there some type of big press conference or something...anyone know when new models are actually announced?? Is it really October? I wanna start planning to put my order in if Benz throws in the 600hp Godzilla I am praying for. If they don't, then I am just gonna mod mine til the cows come home...er...ehh....something like that.

When looking for info about new products, you'll virtually always find leaked info on the internet long before any official announcements. The problem is, there are lots of rumors on the internet that prove to be untrue by the time official facts are announced.
If you keep poking around and keep track of reliable sources, you'll be ahead of 98% of others who might want to place an early order for new products.
People who visit the AMG factory while on vacation, and friends of those in management are sometimes good sources of info.
Also, having a good relationship with a salesperson at MB helps when it comes to making sure your order/wait list position are handled to your best advantage.
New vehicles generally come out in the fall, but there are many exceptions, particularly with tuned specialty cars like AMG's. The current w211 E55 wasn't released in the fall.
