Has any of you looked into other manufacturers for headers, such as MKB (www.mkb-tuning.com). They are right up there with Kleeman and Brabus. Another recognized german tuner is GTG (www.germantuning.com). I don't know if they have a US distributor and what the restrictions are on importing these products, however it is definitely worth looking into. Does anyone know if the headers for the E55 would be the same for a C43?

I woud probably be in to. I have been planning on sending my car to kleeman for a stage 3 kit. I do agree with blown V8 though any good race shop could make these headers. Owning a Ferrari and several Porsche's it is unreal how people try to slam you on parts. Giac is a good example. A Stage 4 ecu for a 996 turbo is 5500 and for a VW 1.8 TT its $800.00.

You may want to wait several more months before transporting your car to Kleemann. I have been talking to Cory and they should have the K4 done by then so you can have all stages installed.

So they took off 20%...not bad, i was right on target...$2400. I think i am going to order it.
It will include a pair of shorty headers, 8mm plug wires, and replacement resonator pipes, correct?

2. it comes without the coating, anyone knows how much is the coating cots?
3. Do I have to pay taxes here on it too? ( never bought somthign outside of Canada)
4. does it need coating if i'm gonna put it on for a couple of years?

don't know about 2, 3, or 4 but if you live outside of California (you do) you will pay no sales tax. You will pay shipping and some sort of import (customs/duty) tax based on the declared value of the headers.

What it doesnt say is if you get the plugs & wires and resonator deletes. I think all of that stuff is extra, but maybe someone should clarify it with Mike to be 100% sure so there is no misunderstandings with anyone.

You dont pay USA tax. You have to pay Duty when it clears customs (usually around 6% + the brokerage fees), and you have to pay the PST & GST when it enters Canada. To find out what it would be in Canadian $ shipped to your door:
$2,400 * 1.30 conversion = $3,120 CDN (this is the value for Canadian Customs)
Import Duty: $3,120 * 0.06 = $187.20
Canadian Taxes: $3,120 * 0.15 = $468
Your total cost to your door will be something around: $3,775.20CDN + the shipping cost.
Dont you love our taxes...

We really should close this thread. That was a difficult decison as the rules that the admins and mods agreed on is that group buys are only supported if they are from vendors that support this site. Kleemann has decided NOT to sponsor this board, and as such it is not fair to the vendors that do sponsor the borad to allow business to be taken from them. Without these paying sponsors, this board would not be here - period.
There is no problem discussing these alternative products. There is also nothing wrong with contacting the supporting vendors and asking for a special on a product you are interested in.
