Headers and then Stage 1???

Is there any problems with going with the headers first for a couple months and then doing the ecu pulley combo later down the line? I mean with the headers group buy going on ( if it does happen ) I wouldn't want to miss out. So can anyone think of any problems if any?

no problems doing headers first. Almost same power gains from headers with and without pulley

Personally, I think doing the pulley and ECU LAST is the best approach.

Let the car reveal its true potential by making the intake & exhaust as efficient as possible, and get the cooling issues taken care of. Next I would say add the LSD to manage all the power. Lastly, do the ECU and pulley. Once you know the car is as efficient as it can be, you can increase the boost.

Doing the ECU last allows you to create the most efficient map because it will be mapped based on the current state of the car with everything already done to it.

That's my $0.02 anyway...

Very true! This is also what the Kleemann boys told me.

Do you want to pay for installation twice?

Ultimately, the best thing to do when modifying is to figure out where you want to be in the shortterm and the longterm. Then decide if you can afford to do everything at once to save on installation costs..

Typically most people can't afford to do everything at once so they take a staged approach. With a staged approach, the above statements are true.

The Stage 1 is cheap compared to the headers---so if you can afford the headers, you might as well do the pulley/Stg 1 (have to do ECU with headers anyway).
