2010 E63 AMG - Ditronic Cruise control

Just purchased a 2010 E63 AMG, I bought it from another state, I took delivery of the car and when driving I noticed it didnt have the radar cruise control which the dealer said it did.

This only happened yesterday and I have already sent an email to the dealer... but worst case does anyone know if this can be addded?

As I think all the parts will be avail, if one of these cars had an accident they would be able to order wiring harness components etc.

Thoughts?? Appreciate it... Cheers, Rich

I know that Steve of MBenzNL can install them. All factory OEM.

The W212 uses the latest Distronic Plus and the W211 uses Distronic.

I don't know if he ever travels to Australia(?) I know he travels Europe and the USA doing installs for dealers and consumers.

Contact him and see what he says. He's the Uber Benz Meister. He can send you the parts.

just ask for $10000 back and be happy. Useless option as far as I'm concerned.

You know what? thats what I thought too at the beginning...Distronic plus or not, whatever...I didn't care

but until you actually tried it in traffic during your commute, you will love it.
**it takes a while for you to have the nerve to allow your car to brake for you**

Concur.

At first for me it was just part of the car I chose but it actually is quite cool.

Very useful option in congested, stop/go traffic. Astonishing!

+1 on what derrick and vic said

I thought whatever about it until tried it. The ditronic plus works very well. Someone even cut me off and it was quick to react and kept distance. I was/am impressed. in highway traffic driving, it is well worth having

hey just a question, so the distronic plus in the 2010 E63 will bring the car to a stop and bring you back up to speed in stop and go traffic?

2010 E63
I picked up my 2010 E36 with the Distronic plus and the whole driver assist package. This was an option that I thought was nice to have but not necessary. I flew on the red eye from California to Chicago where I looked at the car, paid for it and proceeded to drive it for 13 hours home to NC.
The distronic plus is AMAZING and a must have for long trips. I want this on every new car I buy!! I don't think anyone can really appreciate how good this is until they try it.

And YES, the car will slow down and speed up back to the set speed once the coast is clear.
