AMG Leather Package: US availability?
Does anyone know of availability of the what i would call an extended napa leather package (Code P34) for the 2010 E63 AMG? It uses Napa leather for the seats and covers the dashboards and upper door panels. Roof lining is in alcantara.
It is on the AMG website but I have yet to see any photos or prices on it yet.

I haven't seen any yet in the US. It came standard that way on all the W211 E63s but they dropped it for the W212 and instead made it (and expensive) option.
The new "standard" leather is the leather you get as an option on the E350; very rough and deeply pebble grained. I'd buy the P34 option for sure, if I were you. The Napa and alcantara is a world of difference.
I heard it's around a 6k option. At least that's what someone from Sweden said ($6k USD.)

My friend just bought a W211 E63. He thought it was fully loaded apart from not having the 030 performance pkg (pano, premium 2, distronic, alcantara, Bluetooth etc) but the dash is not stitched leather like in my M5. Are you sure the W211 is available with a stitched leather dash?

It's possible there was a W211 Designo version with stitched dash, but I kind of doubt it (maybe in Europe?)
Like the OP, I haven't seen any pics of stitched Napa leather dashboard on any USA W212s. The W212 P34 package doesn't mention any stitching just "leather on upper section of the dashboard."

Someone here said the P34 might not be a US option: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...pressions.html
But here's a pic for the Australian market. You can see what kind of looks like stitching on the dash (just barely):

I just looked on the configurator and there is not a P34 option for US order at this time. However I did not realize how many designo color options there were this year. I counted 9:
Designo Mystic Blue, Mocha Black, Mystic Red, Mauritius, Graphite, Mystic Brown, then the Matte color finishes, Magno Alanite Grey, Magno Cashmere White, Magno Platinum.

This was the website i was referring to:. If you look under performance studio options, they mention a P34 leather package. It seems strange for them to include this option if it's not going to be available on the US markets especially when the quote American MSRPs on the website.
The special paints are interesting options but do they incur a special order charge above the cost of the options? On a side note, have any of you dealt with matte paints? Will it be a pain to respray them if need be?
