Not in the market for a new gen E63 as I'm ok with my w211 E63, but a turbo engine doesn't really appeal to me. I used to have a pretty crazy supra turbo and it used to get heat soaked a lot at track events and sometimes during regular daily driving even with an aftermarket IC. Maybe for those that don't live in places where the temp goes over 110 degrees the turbo might be better.Originally Posted by GarbageMan
I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't really want the TT5.5. In fact, the reason I'm on this forum/considering the E63 is that I don't want a TT car. I will be buying/ordering around December '09 or January '10. I talked to a pretty informed person/dealer here in Houston who has heard that the 5.5TT will be for 2012 in the E. Also, MB has already announced that the 2011 E63 wagon will be coming to the US with the current engine... So, reading between the lines, I'd say this dealer is right... I have a son who will be driving at year's end, so I'll be rotating cars down, thus my need. The sole reason I am leaning toward the E63 is due to natural aspiration. This is the reason I am not waiting/considering the M5. In Texas, we don't take too kindly to turbos or govt. healthcare. Gas goes to 3 or 4 per gallon???--more for me

I hope you realize that comparing turbo technology from 20 years ago to the stuff they use today is a bit silly?Originally Posted by hakaida442
