My BMC Filters arrived on Thursday. I removed the charcoal filters and replaced the stock filters with BMC filters. Car runs great. No codes what so ever.

E63 AMG 2010
Hey guys, which BMC filter in particular fits on the w212? The only one listed under E63 on the BMC website lists it under the "514 hp" engine which is the w211. Would it also fit on the w212 engine? And is it better than K&N ?

installed the bmc filters on my '10 e63....signinficant improvement! the car "breathes'' so much better , and there's a noticeable increase in torque.

No way in hell you would notice a 2-5hp in a 518hp car. That is unnoticeable. If it was a like 50hp I would say then yes it is noticeable but an air filter on that car is not going to make that much of a difference.

Like I said earlier I went with ITG air filters and now that id done 2k km's on it I think I notice a pretty good improvement too.
Especially in the low revs, the car 'picks itself up' a lot better. At the beginning when I was flooring it it felt like the gearbox was a bit confused as it kept pausing and cutting on shifts, was just getting to grips with the new amount of air coming in, but it seems to have gotten use to it now. A noticable increase in torque, especially at the low end, and it sounds a bit more throaty too at full throttle.
Now im wondering if I change the entire intake to carbon fibre if that would give me any more. A friend said that simply changing air filters would give you 70-80% of what changing the entire intake will give, n if thats the case I wouldnt bother paying the extra cash.
