Yes direct fit including tires.
18" sport wheels/tires:
W212 - 18x8.5 et48 front/rear 4matic (245/40-18) or
18x8.5 et48 front/ 18x9 et54 rear (245/40-18 & 265/35-18) or
E63 - 18x9 et37 front/ 18x9.5 et52 rear (255/40-18 & 285/35-18)
W207 - 18x8 et45 front/ 18x8.5 et49 rear (235/40-18 & 255/35-18)
17" W212 luxury wheels are also similar as above to W207's e350

wheels
So would you think aftermarket wheels with custom offsets should fit the same?

Generally yes, but there are always exceptions. Offset, while being the most important part, is not the only parameter determining safe/correct fitment - wheel design, specifically how far wheels' spokes are from mounting point, plays some part too.
You're asking a lot more than the original question. That question was easy as wheel designs between sedan/coupe/wagon/convertible are identical. The main difference is slight offset difference and 1/2" wider rims on W212s.
