Exclamation Please give me advice, FAULTY WINDSHIELD HEATER?

So as many of you know my car has been in service for the creak sound coming from turning the wheel. My Service advisor just called me and said my car is fixed and problem is solved. BUT...............

The computer told them that my car windshield heater (infrared light heater) is faulty. in order to replace the part i need a whole new windshield.

What is this heater for, and should i keep the car in service for another 2 weeks

I never had any problem with my windshield or defroster?

So same as what my dealer did. As for the froster problem, why not just drive the car until the parts come in, once in it should only be a 1 day job.
Or just keep in service for another 2 weeks and drive the loaner, the weather is no good anyway. Save on mileage.

Totally agree. Weather is ****ty outside and I'd rather not drive through the salt with my car. keep the loaner and let them fix what they think needs fixing.
