Lightbulb 19" x 9.5"/11" on the beloved w212. Will it work?

Hey all,

I wish I could say that I was waiting for a 2011 E63 AMG, but I am waiting on a 2011 E350 BlueTec with some designo goodies. I would normally post this over on the general w212 board, but I know some of you E63 guys have more experience in the aftermarket wheel scene.

I'm thinking of snagging up a local set of BBS LM's in the following sizes:

19x9.5" et30
19x11" et28

My car will obviously be RWD and I will be throwing on a set of H&R Springs or Eibach Pro's. Can anyone here chime in regarding these sizes? If they fit, it will be pushing the very brink. I am not concerned with the rears, as much as I am with the fronts. the 9.5" with an aggressive offset might push it out too far. Worst case scenario, if there is enough, I can have the centers machined slightly to adjust the offset by a few MM's.

Looking for any input. Call me crazy, but it's fine. Tire size guesses would be welcomed too! I've dealt with some rather bizarre wheel sizes with my other vehicles. I want to have this sitting perfectly.

Soon to arrive. Magno Alanite Grey / Sand Leather

Here is an E250/350 Wagon I found with LM's in similar sizing. Not sure of the offsets just yet... It's got to work!

19x10 - 245/35
19x11 - 275/30

Here is what I run and the fronts have some room (maybe 5mm) but I run a W212 E63 which has a wider front track that a stock W212. The rears are about as tight as it gets without rubbing. I have a pretty good drop too though:

20x9 et 29
20x10 et 39

Its hard to gauge since you are not running an E63 but the fronts might be ok. The rears are not going to fit IMHO. They are too wide and the offset is too low. An 11 is 1 inch wider plus your 11mm in offset will push that wheel outside of the fender big time.

Again its too hard to predict since the body of your BlueTec is different up front.

Thanks for the response Vic. I've reached out to Inden Design asking about the offsets on that setup. The one bright spot is that the low offset allows for some wiggle room (based on how much meat the wheel hub has. We'll see what happens.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
If you like when wheels extend passed the fenders, then it will work:

front will extend by about 16mm or 2/3",

rear will extend by at leat 26mm or over 1".

Will it look good? Most people, me included, would say no.

Also, I do not see how a 10" wide wheel fits the front - without rubbing on inside or without a major protrusion (over 1") passed the fender - as mentioned somewhere in your post.

2011 W212 E550
Here's my setup, which pretty much pushes it to the limits on the W212 E350 with no chance of rubbing. Which reminds me, I promised to post some better pix on that thread.

I installed Eibach lowering springs after those photos, and they look MUCH better as well, and again with no rubbing. I'll post even newer photos soon.
