Any plans for an E-Series AMG convertible?
My apologies if this has been covered, but I didn't see a thread on the subject.
I am eagerly awaiting my new ride (see signature line), and I'm keeping, for now, my '07 BMW 335i hardtop/convertible, which I have enjoyed greatly. I'll hang on to it for another year or two. But then, I'll be in the market for a new drop-top. I want a 4-seater (OK if the back seats are a bit cramped, but they need to be usable for short trips for adults); I can take or leave the folding hardtop (nice, but they eat trunk space); and I want reasonably spirited performance.
So, an E63 AMG Cabriolet would be about right, I figure. Will we see one for model year 2013?

Mercedes-Benz mentioned before they won't be doing a AMG version of the E Coupe, which more-than likely means there won't a convertible. Its because (as MB says), since the E Coupe/Cabriolet is based on the C-Class, there simply isn't any space for the 5.5L Biturbo.
I would sell one of my kidneys and give away my S430 just to get a E63 Coupe.

Since C63 AMG Coupe will be available, I'm pretty sure C63 AMG Cab will follow. I don't think it will be available in E, but they all will share the same platform anyway...
