Please Help - Possibly scammed
Are these rims fake? Seller describes them as
"MERCEDES ORIG AMG E63..."
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCE...t_20198wt_1338
Doesn't use that typical weasel word "STYLE" anywhere in the auction, e.g. "AMG *STYLE* 19-inch staggered rims"
Thanks in advance for your input.
but it does sound too goo to be true,
my stock wheels from my 550 are more EACH than he's asking for four, so it
does seem fishy........
good luck and keep us posted
ALWAYS get pics of insides of rims to see the AMG stamping and specs.
The link of these rims are of an existing listing, they have not been bought yet...how could you have been scammed?

Something is not adding up here...

Flame on, my good man. First time I have (apparently) been ripped off on ebay in 12 years of using it. I purchased them directly from the seller over the phone, but have an email trail showing the purchase was based on the item linked above. Hopefully he heeds my preemptive email noting the discrepancy, and decides not to ship them if they are in fact misdescribed as AMG originals. I told him I understand if he made a mistake in the listing
. We can both walk away happy at this point. Will update the thread when it is resolved. Thanks for your posts. The listing says the wheels are take-offs, but show pictures of the rims with Nexen tires - which aren't OEM, and the tires have stickers on them, which would never be on wheels & tires mounted to a car.

I didn't buy them using "proper Ebay procedure" because many/most sellers will gladly complete the transaction elsewhere so that the 12-13 percent of the sale price eaten by the ebay/paypal syndicate can be avoided. 50 percent (or more) of this savings is then passed on to the buyer. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but credit cards often provide the same level of "safety" that paypal does.
No response from the seller in the last 12 hours. No tracking number received. Still up in the air.

Graduated from Tulane Law a few years ago. It's one of the country's older law schools, and ranked in the top 50 (of 200 or so accredited law schools.) It was a great experience in a great city. Back on the East Coast now.

Where is the MBW ambulance chaser 'tyro' when you need him?
Dispute opened with credit card company. I'm not required to send them back. I can get a letter from my dealership saying they are fakes and I am welcome to turn them over to local police after that.
The scumbag seller even reshipped them in the box he obviously imported them in (with the labels on the box peeled off, or so he thought.) You can still see the faded image of the rims as a line drawing and part of the name of the shipper or manufacturer.
Hope this guy rots in hell. What is wrong with people? You CAN get ahead being honest...

Just as I thought, I waited until you confirmed delivery but I sent that seller a question through Ebay back days ago to get pics of the insides and of course...no response. Hope it works out for you on the refund.
Whenever someone lists some MB rims, always ask for pics of insides BEFORE paying for them. Too many replica sellers out there.
