Congrats. Very nice. Time to tint the windows and cheek out the deal mche55 has on his hres. Snap them up. Have fun with it. Btw. Get a good chrome polish and hit the tail pipes every couple of weeks, others it's a real pita to keep em shinny.

Thanks for the tip, will keep them clean. The HREs are an incredible deal. I'm not sure whether I want black wheels or not at this point. I actually have to sell a set of wheels before I can justify buying anything to myself.

No TT, not interested in the maintenance/reliability aspect of it especially out of warranty.
Have a 4matic, so keep that in mind. Personally I find it a bit soft even in S and Sport suspension. It's good in corners, much better than your average luxury sedan. I think BMW has better handling though. Power and torque is definitely readily available and you feel confident in tight situations. Brakes are very good. I have the driver assistance package, which I think is amazing, but makes you a lazy driver. Safety wise it is very good though. Fuel economy is surprisingly good, 30-34mpg at 70mph depending on the grade of the road. Final words: it's very quiet and civilized, great car if you are looking for a blend of luxury and performance.
The 63 is just... I felt at home in it. Console shift not column shift. Somewhat loud exhaust. Effortless acceleration, stiffer suspension, tight handling, and aggressive styling. I didn't notice much difference as far as the seats, felt about the same. Better steering wheel, pedals, and braking. Interior is overall better; I was petting the headliner and sun visors. My only gripe so far is the rear view mirror doesn't adjust that much, I have sit very low so that the mirror reflects the rear windshield, maybe I'm doing something wrong... This car puts a smile on my face. Hope that helps

excellent, keep posting pics, of both....
i think ill have my dad get a e550
he has the S, but doesnt like the massaging seats....long story, so mom drives, it and he drives the w220, but its got 160000 miles, and his beloved w140 has 212 thousand, so time for both of those to go
and E will suit him fine
and i shall get the 63

SoCal Dealers Blowing Out 2011 E63s?
Has anyone come across a dealer in So Cal looking to blow-out their remaining inventory on 2011 E63s? Maybe a group buy? Let me know. I know a few that have more than 2 available so if we go together we can get a better deal. My deal meaning about $20K off MSRP.
#41
A SoCal dealer quoted me the following: The MSRP is $97,235 and our selling price to you is $82,991 for a 2011 E63. I haven't tried to negotiate the price down as I just received this e-mail. Is demanding $75k unrealistic? Maybe me and Vdubpower can get a special deal if we buy both? Thoughts are appreciated. TIA

wow 83,000 seems low to begin with. Negotiate in OTD terms, final cost... That number might magically sky rocket. 75k seems too good to be true, but maybe not. Not sure what incentives they have this month. I called at least 4 dealers and negotiations dragged on and on...
BTW my sills are definitely white, is it just the picture or do you really have blue sills.
