Powder coated or machined for winters?
I've narrowed down my winter rims to the triple spoke Mercedes style "machined" or the M3 gts style powder coated in gunmetal which will have a bbs centre cap. My pref is the Mercedes style but the retailer is saying those machined rims will peel very soon by the winter salt.

Sounds right to me but I'm not crazy about the Gts style with a bbs cap although it's just for a few months and it's not the main driver.

Any thoughts or comments esp re the salt?

U can find other bbs style rims and put a MB cap on them

Not so easy in Canada. Believe me I've been looking. I might be able to find something on eBay at some point but I was wanting more mb style than after mkt style - I think.

My concern is more about machined vs powder coated. Anyone know for certain, back to my original question?
