My New 2012 e63 Wagon PP
I picked up my new wagon yesterday, Designo Magno, all the packages including PP.
Drove it fairly sprited yesterday, thing has got some tourqe! you can be at 1500 in 3rd and dig out of that faster than you think, everytime!
I am not sure of the sound though, i already want it to be louder. It doesnt seem as loud as my c63 was.
ride quality, especially seat comfort, is awesome. Its tight but not too tight in C mode...
Tranny is kinda weird. S+ shifts WAY faster than M...M is almost useless unless you like blowing shifts and waiitng for a response
No Parktronic (which coming from an e550 is kinda scary) it is amazing how much you rely on that system after hearing it for 1.5 years
Back to the seat comfort though, amazing, put my e550 to shame. the c63 seats were way too snug (im a wide guy) but these seats are heaven.
i am already thinking Renntech flash

Congrats! I literally feel like a kid before Xmas waiting on mine. The matte silver looks awesome too, I thought long and hard about the matte white, but wasn't sure if the wagon could pull it off. Enjoy your new ride!!

Anyway, hope you are doing well! Good choice on the car
Oh and Stefario, sick ride! Love the paintjob! Oh btw, someone told me that matte colors can only be wrapped on the cars, not painted?? is this true? My friend had his R8 matte black wrapped and it looks sick! But can matte color be painted?

Nice! It's too bad AMG has taken out the third row seat.
It would be nice if there are extra parktronic sensors right underneath the chin since it's where most of the scrapings occur.

Sorry for the late reply, i was in california for a while.
Car is great, no one expects the station wagon to be a killer.
road noise is a bit on the excessive side, we have good roads in Vancouver but the perelli tires and suspension make for considerable more roadnoise than i had with my conti on the e550 - so much so you cant talk in normal voice on the highway to a person in the back seat.
other than that - would be nice to have parktronic
no third row seat

2012 E63 Wagon, 2007 E63 Wagon
I am thinking of trading my '07 E63 Wagon in for a new one. Has anyone seen a test of the 6.2L vs 5.5TT?
I was offered $40,000 for my car from the dealer (without the tax benefit) - has a cracked front bumper but low mileage (28k) if anyone is interested.

Doesn't seem too bad for an offer of $40K for a 5 years old car. Of course, my view might change after looking into used and trade-in prices. Haven't seen a test between a M156 and a M157 engines. Just know that M157 is good for heavier cars than M156, which seems much better for lighter cars like the SLS. Otherwise, performance is quite similar other than low end torque.
