No convenience feature on driver's seat?

My E63 wagon is great but I'm missing the convenience feature on the seat that my W211 E500 has. Penny pinching? Safety - to prevent crushed rearseat passengers? Or is it there but I just haven't found it yet?

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
What's the convenienced feature you are referring to? I haven't owned any MB before this so I have no idea.

The seat on my W211 slides back when I remove the key and moves forward to memory position when I start the car.

Unfortunately, not for this car from what I have read. Even the split folding rear seats, when utilized, make the front seats uncomfortable by preventing reclining past a certain point.
