Looking into E63
Hi guys. I am a previous owner of a C32 circa 2004 and a 2007 E63 AMG, currently have an M3 vert and looking to go back to MB. I am looking at a 2012/2013 E63 AMG for European Delivery, have a few questions mostly about winter driving I would appreciate help (sorry if some of these have been asked and answered);
1-Is the rear limited slip differential worth it? Does it help with winter driving?
2-Does anyone have 245/40-18 all four winters for their winter set? I see tirerack has this size option for the CLS 63, you can even get studless winters on the CLS, but it does not give that option for the E63 despite the fact they have the same OEM 255/35-19 front and 285/30-19 rear from the factory. They only give a 255/40-18 option for the E63 and there are only performance winters on this size, no studless. This may be the deciding factor to get a CLS 63 instead, but I much prefer the styling and price of the E63.
3-Can anyone corroborate that indeed there is a 7% discount for ED on the E63?

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
I think LSD should help somewhat with winter driving since it prevents the wheel with no traction from getting all the power.
Interesting winter tire arrangement by tirerack on the CLS63 vs E63. It's indeed fairly strange since both cars are almost the same, just different shell. CLS does look nice in a different way, but E does have more utilities to it, especially the wagon version.
