AMG mufflers
IMO there is a distinct difference in exhaust sound between the 2011 and earlier cars and the 2012-13 cars both na and turbo. ( Ie, the differnce in exhaust note imo is not from the different enginexs ) . I know that AMG has been claiming they " tuned the exhaust for a more agressive sound ".
Ive looked from below and there appears to be no difference in the exhaust from the cats all the way to the mufflers. Does anybody know for sure if AMG changed the internal construction of the rear mufflers ?

Hence different exhaust notes

Since the stock exhaust on naturally aspirated ( eg, SLS vs. E63 ) and turbo cars 2012 & 2013 are identical does anybody know for sure if amg has changed the internal construction of the rear mufflers ?

Both of you from the great white north did not understand my comments and question. Without going back into it I am well aware of the diffence in an na and a turbocharged engine. However both na and turbo cars ( ie, 2012 forward ) have a the SAME exhaust note which is very different from the 2011 and earlier cars.

Because they don't. Your original assumption is incorrect.
An SLS is extremely louder than a TT E63 or CLS63. And they don't have the same mufflers....SLS has a large single can in the center of the diffuser that splits out to the tips....
But you have an SLS roadster, so you would already know that

Are you saying that a 2012 SLS has the same exhaust note of a 2012 E63?

The question again everybody/anybody : Does anybody know for sure if AMG has changed the INTERNAL construction of the rear mufflers ? Thanks.

Sorry, but there is no attitude here. All i am stating is that your assumption that the E63 and SLS have the same visual muffler is incorrect.
They have 2 vastly different mufflers, which contribute to vastly different exhaust notes. You can't just negate the fact that they have completely different engines, which is the major contributor to the differing exhaust notes as well.
The N/A SLS exhaust is vastly different from the 5.5TT E63 exhaust.
