2014 race start
Anyone seen any info on whether Mb made race start less retarded to use? With awd you may actually be able to use it instead of just making yourself look dumb, if you can figure it out and actually get it to work.

it is very easy to make it work
LSD sport
press hard on the brake with your left foot
rotate the gear set to RS
confirm by pressing + paddle on steering wheel
press all the way down acce with your right foot
when it revs release your left foot from the brake.
it is that simple. lol

AWD in the S model will render it useless - not that it isnt already IMHO.

Won't it allow for a more ferocious launch?
Totally get that AWD will give you that monster grip out the bucket, but the RACESTART would let you Rev up to 4-4500, rather than launching from the basement....i think that's how you'd get that 0-60 in the 3.5 range

Is Race Start even that violent and does it even offer real gains vs. a skilled right foot? From all the videos of MCT Race Start launches I've seen it just looks like the car revs from 4k, and when the brake is let go, the clutches ease in real slow and slip a lot while the power is heavily controlled until the wheel speed matches the RPMs... woefully undramatic in comparison to... everyone else

That's why I asked if anyone had any info on whether they improved it. As it is it's worse than doing it yourself. They'd be better off just taking it out. The Porsche turbo launch control is very violent, and easy to use. Its also highly effective and worth .6 seconds in the 1/4 mile from my testing. It needs to work more like that.

Every car I've tried launch control / Race start feature felt impressive. Cant see the the new AWD RS to be any less.
