Jerky acceleration

Any owners out there getting jerky acceleration on startup on hot days? This summer has been pretty hot and I've noticed that if my car has been in the sun for a few hours and I hop in and go, the first acceleration is jerky to the point like the engine is having trouble delivering fuel. It's only on the very first acceleration when I am pulling out of a lot. Once I work through a couple gears, it's back to normal.

What I have found that helps is, if I start it up and then rev the engine once in park mode and then drive off, there isn't much of any issue. I'm thinking maybe there is hot exhaust lingering in the chamber that's causing this? No idea. Wondering if any of you out there may know.

Thanks

Sorry but I only have the jerky acceleration problem when I try to use the "c" mode and go slow. We haven't had any problems in the heat. Good luck!

i drive them all, fast and hard
i have it, sometimes, randomly

i think if i go into S or s plus right away with engine cold and try to drive hard, it gets jerky in the 1, and 2 gears, i have to let off gas

You should regularly be in C mode with general driving as in S or S plus the car starts out in 1st gear and can be jerky, my car does it, even does it some in C mode so this is not just you, it is the nature of the beast with the wet clutch trans, my VW Jetta TDI uses the same type of trans and does this too. Takes some getting use to, feels more like a std trans than an auto, but I kinda like it, to me the trans in my CTS-V smoothed things out too much, the AMG feels much more raw which I like.

Thanks for the responses. I know the herky jerky feel of first gear, but this hesitation (rather than jerkyness) is a bit different. Its a bit like there is bad fuel in the car or its having trouble delivering it. Anyways....its only when the car is left in the sun for a bit. Don't have any problems in the morning when the car is cool or if i park in covered lot. Its a weird issue.

Cold start, S+ almost guarantees a jerky takeoff! Haven't noticed if it's heat related though.

Have you checked what the engine oil and water temps are when you take off?
