AMG Button

Does the AMG button do anything other than act as a program button to choose transmission and suspension settings?

It seems when I press the AMG button and move from S+ to M i get rev matching where as just selecting M without hitting the AMG button it just downshifts normally. Then again, I could be completely imaging it.

Its just a preset--- the feeling is placebo.

I tried turning my traction control off and then with it off and in sport plus mode hitting and holding the amg button, but all it does now when I hit the amg button is go into sport plus mode with the traction control still on? Will it not store traction control off in the amg setting? That is how you store the setting right by hitting and holding the amg button right?

The AMG button will NOT control the ESP function. You have to do that separately.

They know this, they were asking if the AMG button controlled such a process and it doesnt as stated.

Thanks, I was referring to the esp button. Just took it out for some test and found out that holding down on the esp button after you push it switches the traction control all together. Don't remember seeing that in the owners manual.
