2014 e63 amg s seats uncomfortable
Is it possible to adjust the tension on the sides of the seats as they are too tight and irritating my IT band. The side bolsters make it worse.

Perhaps I'm just not understanding your question.... you wish to make the seat more comfortable.... there's a fairly comprehensive secondary seat controller just to the right of your right thigh.
The third from the top controls width of the bolsters. Turn off "Dyn" setting too.

What's IT band?..."Intrathoracic" band? The 3rd button moves only the bolsters on the seat back. There is no button to control the bolsters on the horizontal seat surface.
By the way, does anyone really know how the last two buttons work? I can't quite figure it out from the manual and it has been nearly a couple of years already. I think the 5th button (lever) moves the lumbar position at the back up and down, while the 6th button controls the amount of protrusion. Am I right?

I don't think the OP was asking about the seat bottom bolsters?
Yes, the fifth controller is lumbar vertical location, the sixth is protrusion.
The controller on my G is nearly impossible to comprehend. None of it is marked. No pictograms. No labels. Nothing.
From a Merc G Wagen. Not related to the OP's question:

iliotibial tract, fascia that runs down the side of you leg, from your hip, originating from your tensor fascia lata, down laterally to your tibia.
the buttons furthest back for lumbar are pretty weird. They dont some to correspond to what the symbols say they do.

I understand I can turn off the bolsters. The main problem is how stiff the horizontal edge of the seat is. Maybe it will soften up over time. I am 6'3" and find there is ample leg and head room which is great.

well it is more of a bucket seat in comparison to the regular E class
youll appreciate how the seat keeps u planted when u unleash the power of the car in a turn
i suppose u could retrofit a base seat for the amg seat if needed

Least they left sigs on these. Copyright? Whassat?

OP: Horizontal edge of seat bottom I assume is issue. Cushion is horizontal, so is it the lateral edge of seat at bolster, or front edge of seat under knees? How big are you build-wise?

These are the best seats I've ever had and I've had a lot of nice cars to compare to. How can you not find a comfortable adjustment w all the settings? What was your previous vehicle? If you are looking for a big cushy wide seat unless its an s600 that's not happening in a Benz.

Actually I have found an adjustment that takes some relief off my hips. The seat comfort in my Jeep Cherokee is surprisingly outstanding.
