Regarding the star... I suspect that part of the trouble may arise from there not being a good way to peel the excess back on the top side of the star... at least on the sedan. The spoiler is only about 1/2" above and sits 1/2" proud of the star. Each time, I end up losing adhesion in that section.
If I try it again this weekend, I'm going to clean it up really good (again) and then maybe try to cut the coating along the line, rather than relying on it tearing cleanly.
I haven't has any issues with removing the excess from inside of the star. It's just that one area...
You can see tight spot in this pic I snagged:

Stage 2 complete. Had sides and rear windows tinted with 3M color stable tint, 20% and had windshield tinted with Crystaline 70% tint. Car looks great and I love the windshield. You can't tell there is even tint on the windshield.
I also had them vinyl wrap the chrome trim around the windows and the front grill. There are a few seams on the grill but I think it looks awesome. The installer told me the grill was a huge pain in the butt but it turned out just as I hoped. They used gloss black vinyl wrap and it matches the night styling package very well.
Stage 3 is next, clear bra and opticoat and then Stage 4 just for Vic.

That is one nice looking E63 you got there X... I especially love the look of the front grill with just the star in chrome! Like the look of the wheels also!
