Hesitation at initial acceleration 2014 E63 S
Only 2500 miles on the car and Been experiencing a hesitation when accelerating from a complete stop. More pronounced in ECO mode but there in other modes as well. It kind of shudders initially and then is fine
Asked the dealer to look at the issue. Shop foreman went for a test drive with me riding along. He noticed the same issue. It is worse when the engine is cold.
The repair ticket says they updated software, but the issue remains. Seems like my dealer personnel don't give a crap. Two messages and no return calls.
Does anyone have any advice to get this issue addressed? Should I go to a different dealer? Is there a customer service number to call at Mbusa?
Btw the dealer is MB of Westwood Ma. Extremely disappointed MB AMG experience

You need to take it back to them and have them issue a ticket request on the car that gets funnelled up the chain of command. During any new launch, they are watching every service request and react quicker to issues (or are suppose to) just in case there is a major issue that was overlooked. The "fix" is then fed back to the engineering. Try another dealer if you aren't getting the attention you deserve. If there is no other in the surrounding area, then call MB USA and tell them what's happening.

how hard are you accelerating when the car is cold?
When warming the vehicle up I will leave from a stop in second gear. Let's the tranny skip that 1-2 shift and there is enough power there to pull you away from anything you would need to anyway.
Do you notice the issue when the car is warmed through?

When cold and when warm. not accelerating hard. It stutters and then it's fine. Happens if I start in 1st or in 2nd and in any mode C,S,S+
Bring it in Friday and going to drive a different e63. Foreman thinks it's typical 2014 E63 acceleration. No chance, this site would be lighting up if it was the same on all new E63's

ignition coil issues? I had similar issues on my Saab (hesitation under acceleration) and it turned out to be bad coils... I hope I won't get that trouble... again!

I think this is an isolated situation to your car---- the M157 engine and its parts are not new to Benz, being out since 2011. Im on my third one and have not had such issues. I know it would be better if it was widespread because the fix would be on but Im sure they will handle it.

Have you brought it to your dealer yet? Would you mind sharing your dealers name? I posted the same in the amg private lounge. Hopefully a few others have noticed it and Mbusa gets focused on fixing. I will let you know when I bring it back in Friday what new info I may have. It's a shame, such a beast. Never thought I would be disappointed in acceleration with this car when I ordered it

I think you may be experiencing something a bit more serious as my hesitation is just that at low acceleration a 1/2 second hesitation and then she's moving. The beast in her is just fine, acceleration is not a problem and standing on it wakes her up for sure.
Going in next week for the rear diff fluid and an oil change. I'll report it and let them check it out then.

Don't forget that this car has a multi-plate (disk) clutch instead of the traditional torque converter (fluid clutch.)
It think you're probably noticing the way the computer is engaging the clutch. I've felt mine studder or shudder every now & then too. Nothing yet developed is as smooth as a human foot on a clutch pedal.

I assume that the reprogram was for take-up points. Adjustable on DCT and F1 electrohydraulic boxes, probably similar tweaks available in clutched auto box. Some self adjust there too, but can fiddle engage points down to 10 ms or so on DCT and F1. Diagnostics can give clutch life readouts too.

E63 AMG-S 2015 - Stuttering problem on initial acceleration
I see others have the same problem. I am having initial hesitation / stuttering problems with my new 2015 E-63 AMG-S. The problem happens every so often at all temperatures and in all modes. Reprogramming the transmission has not fixed it and it has 4K miles on it now.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
