Exterior Paint Modifications
My E63 S has a production date of 1 December. Exterior is Diamond White/Pano/19" Twin 5 Spokes. My car is needless to say in a production lock. I am contemplating having my dealership's paint shop paint front and rear end fascia black to match the specifications of the Night Package. I also would have the exhaust components powder-coated black. Not into the black mirror caps so they'll remain Diamond White.
Question is will this hurt resale value as it is not factory paint or would I be better off by passing on this car and ordering another with the Night package?
Thanks,
David

Night Styling pkg also blacks out the brightwork on the rocker panels.

I agree it is perfect on a black car.
If I cancel on the incoming car, new order will be for black with night package and ceramic brakes. I'll just have to man it up for for another black car upkeep and maintenance. Happens about once a decade with the obligatory "I'll never own another" after a few months of ownership. I've been looking at a few online and they are stunning.

Say it aint so. I went Diamond white w/ night package. It' going to look like a storm trooper. I hate chrome.
The car is such a mish mash of matte and glossy. I wish AMG would pick one.
The front grill is matte, the bar across the back trunk is chrome.
The trim around the exhausts is glossy, but the plastic above that trim is matte / unpainted plastic.

I like the black and white mix, don't get me wrong, but I just think the night package blacks out the wrong stuff. Also, it's not chrome but brushed stainless steel and it looks good. Not very flashy.
If night package blacked out the metal around windows, added a black trunk spoiler then maybe it would work for white.
As it is now, I think night package only looks good on palladium and black.
