I would get the LI system tested by someone with laser guns. There may be an enthusiast or two in your area. Most say the sensors should be mounted in the upper grille close to the headlights. Enjoy your very nice ride!

Very nice X-ray...couple things..
-xclnt choice on the Laser Interceptor..I have it in my ZR1 and had 3 others..this time I decided to try the Blinder on my ML...seems to work good as each encounter so far has jammed the LEO
-funny but my ML goes into park when I press the start button and also if I open the door
-in the ML there is a small shelf at the top of the glove box that accepts the manual perfectly
-when you're ready a Renntech tune will make that teenage boy grin even bigger...way bigger
good luck...very nice car

The local shop here was pushing the blinder system on me before... Has yours worked on both RCMP and EPS?

Any chance you've been in a trap in BC? Did the blinder work there too?

Blinder HP-905 was much cheaper than the LI..also the performance is apprerently equal and it has some nice pluses..
-much smaller heads
-nicer control module..easier with usb to update or taylor alerts/codes
-auto kills jam on alert for pre-programmed time (or not) then re-arms
-about 1/2 the price of LI

Have not met any BC RC's yet but have no fear ..works well here in Alberta..had about 3 lasers and no tickets although I wasn't crazy over but still I was maybe 15-20 over and no tickets..

I recommend...

I like everything about your initial detail except all the shinny dressing for your interior. The whole point of detailing is to make your car look new, no AMG leather is that shinny new. Thanks for sharing.

I understand what you are saying. The leather conditioner doesn't look that "shinny" in person. Just a mild sheen. I think the photo accentuated the shine. It absorbs over an hour or so and is toned down. X

I dunno. Maybe he meant "shinny". Like hard, pale, beat-up, and slightly hairy.

You never know.

Choco, which shop would you use in Calgary?

Nanook, did you do the install yourself or use a local shop? If the latter, can you share which one. I have two vehicles I want to have the Blinder installed in.

Just as an FYI, one of the laser gun companies appears to have developed a gun that detect when it is being jammed and then emit a counter-jamming signal to allow for readings.

I installed it myself...as for jamming technology...like everything changing constantly and do you think police depts will pay for new guns just to nab the very few vehicles with jammers ? I highly doubt...and as the new juns come out new jammers will follow...and keep taking our $$

Also I think it will simply be a matter of time the Jammer Co's come out with an algorithm to deal with Mr. Dragon..

EDIT: Also my neighbor is a City LEO..and one Dragon is used here that can also video or take your photo (plate number) handheld rather than photo radar now...busterds

I haven't used them but 'Mobile Solutions' has had a booth at the auto show here the last few years and that's who I spoke with.

There are a couple other guys here that are more connected to the modding circle in town than I am and may be more help...

Are you in Edmonton or Calgary... RCMP wouldn't have the budget for a gun like that...
