'12 Headlight haze? Anyone else?

Same thing here. I'all ask about it when I pick it up as to the cause. Only 14 days left under factory warranty when I brought it to their attention.

ive been looking at a bunch of e350s and have not seen it happen on them, dunno if its because we have xenons and not halogens.
it would be interesting to see what happens with these new lights and if there is any true reason it occurred initially

Once the lights are on and if that horizontal light pattern for each light is not at the same height with each other, then they are for sure not aligned.

Hi folks
Just took my MY12 E63 AMG to Mercedes Toorak in Melbourne Australia to get this fixed under warranty. No fuss and great service.
Cheers from Down Under

It was the whole assembly, which apparently had to be hand-made by a part time sloth out of hummingbird feathers in a secret factory and then hand carried to the dealership based on the 12 weeks it took them to get a set.

Though my is not the AMG model ( W212 ) model, I had the exact same problem, I ask my dealer and they replaced both headlights under warranty. I told my service manager that I was told this is not normal. It was said in this forum that it was due to the headlight seals allows water into the headlight housing and they replaced both ( because like you said, it was equal on both said ) under warranty. Good luck.

Yikes!
Mine are being ordered and will schedule for replacement when they come in.
Interestingly, when the SA thought I was under extended warranty, he initially balked at replacing them. Not until I pointed out, and he checked, that the factory warranty was still valid that he put the wheels in motion to replace the headlights...

next time i got in for oil, ill have them do this, hopefully free from fuss.
Ill have to buy new Clearbra for the lights though.
im sure they will try to say that becauuse I have clearbra on the lights its the reason for it.

Had both bi xenons replaced with a equally v mark on both headlights and have seen others with this problem. Not sure if it's an issue of bi xenons or halogens, but am happy the dealer replaced them FOC.

The focal point on the HID's come together and produce quite a bit of heat on the lens. Let them run for 20-30 minutes and put your hand on the lens.
Any moisture gets cooked when they are on, however the deposits (dirt, etc) bake on and the lens deteriorates. In short, the projector is too close the the lens and the housing is too small for the heat. A small cooling fan or top mounted vent would reduce the chances of lens scorching and bubbling (tiny bubbles forming due to heat)

I had one headlight replaced last week, but really want the other done too. Even though it doesn't have the same marks, I just rather have them look the same.
Mine were aligned by the dealer.
