Conversion of 2010 to Facelift 2014 - Questions
Last Friday, in a very chilly day (-12 celsius) after snow, my car slipped on an hidden ice and ran into a light pole.
No harms, just a sore knee. (hit it at the impact)
It was a slow speed (20mph), but the damage was quite heavy.
Front bumper, hood, lights, radiator, oil pan is out.
Luckily, no damage to the engine.
Anyway, Since insurance is covering all the repair, I'm opting out for a facelift conversion.
I did a little research, and it seems like there is already a conversion kit composed of genuine MB pars for E63AMG.

My local bodyshop guy says that the installation shall be fairly bolt-on, with minimal modificaiton.
However, the biggest issue is the coding / activating the new parts, such as lighting and so on, and the job requires a specific gear and can be only done in Dealership Service Centers.
The problem is, since the car was modified to facelift, the dealership will not provide the coding service to activiate the system.
I'm not a tech savvy guy, so I'm not sure how the system works here.
Can somebody explain about this coding / activating process, and how it can be done, etc. Any input can be helpful.
Oh, FYI, I'm located in South Korea.
