2014 AMG Driving Academy?
With all the new car purchases lately, was wondering if anyone here will be attending the AMG driving academy this year?
Link above lists locations and dates.
I just registered for the "free" basic course at COTA 4/25 and then extended my fun by signing up for the advanced course the next two days. 4/26-4/27.
Should be a great time. Hoping I may get to meet up with some MBWorld folks (and PL people) while I am there.

'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
Just received my registration confirmation for April COTA advanced program. Yes, that means they're working on a Sunday.
I registered on 23DEC and applied the value of the new car credit (one day) against the two day program.

There wasn't any hotel information in the confirmation email. I'm going to hold off on booking something with the hopes that the AMGDA team can put together a good package somewhere.

JUST got my confirmation for my COTA Basic course on April 25th. The FAQ still has no references to Hotels etc.

Not much close. Look at COTA site, Austin vs SATX is prob a push, Austin bit closer. On toll road, so middle of nowhere. San Marcos has outlet malls, homewood suites stuff, but not close to airports. I'm not great at suggestions, I live 30' away. I'm hoping to do the middle level course, but I don't have car yet. Ship hits Brunswick GA tomorrow. Closer.

Oh definitely Austin, preferably close to 6th street as that is where the bars/restaurants are. I went to the inaugural Austin F1, and getting to the COTA track is no big deal from downtown if you take the toll road, and that was with F1 traffic.
I'm leaning towards the Omni Hotel on San Jacinto Blvd.

Driskill on 5th is historic old hotel. Driskill grille is great restaurant. Ask for high floors anywhere since weekend and 6th is zoo. Four Seasons nice, on river. Restaurant good. Don't think there's any other events filling hotels, Check UT Austin site for spring break dates.
