Looking to get back into an E63...

Current lease up and looking to get back into an E63 ( miss my '07). Anyway, a local dealer has a 2014 polar white 'S' model arriving next week and I am going to test drive it. Looking over the order sheet I noticed it has the start/stop feature PLEASE tell me there is a way or button to COMPLETELY disengage this horrible feature??

As soon as you start the car, it always starts in comfort mode with ECO (start/stop) engaged. You can either turn it off with a button on the dash or switch from comfort to sport or sport + mode where is is not active. I just flip it to sport and go. ECO really only annoys me when I am parking and the car turns off every time I stop to change directions.

thats the absolute worst part of it....especially when garage parking and u are creeping up to where u want to be....

plus the fact that its so randon, no set parameters as to when it activates itself

Yes
I only drive in s+ or m - are you saying after you manually switch to one of those, Eco will automatically come back on, and auto start stop engaged?

'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
Eco is only functional in "Comfort." It deactivates in Sport, Sport + and Manual. There is also an kill button on the center stack.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
Just make it a habit to push the button after starting the car to kill it. It's not that difficult, folks.

Thank You, that's all I need to know. No big deal just pushing one more button at the initial start.

I kind of like the start/stop feature and drive mostly in C mode for this reason. Save fuel and it's nice to have car completely quite when I'm stopped at lights. It starts up really quickly and I'm off when the light turns, no big deal. When I don't want to car to turn off I just creep along slowly and it stays running, like in a parking garage or whatever. Some of these lights around here are really long ones and I like the fact I'm not putting wear wear on the engine and using excess fuel with all the long waits. If the starter goes out eventually no big deal, just get it replaced with my extended warrantee.

As long as it's under 90 degrees or so it's not much of issue and I notice when the car starts warming up inside too much the engine kicks back on, I think somehow the system must be connected into the climate control system.

It is. Prius has similar link, and in hot humid TX or FL, the thing never shuts down, ever. I've rented Prius, and they're useless. BMW start stop is same in cars I've driven. I actually like it, will shut down my other cars in pickup lines or other places.
