Will E550 front brakes fit on the E63?? For those that might not want 2 piece rotors...

Not road racing only drag racing 3-5 times a year ...... The rest of the time just cruising to work... Plus 2 piece rotors are not worth the cost

You're thinking about swapping out the front brake system (rotors, calipers, shields and pads) in order to save a few dollars on maintenance down the road?

Well for me its not that I dont want the parts, I just dont see the value of 2 piece rotors for my particular application. Its an unnecessary cost. I dont road race, so there is no need for me to spend that money. When the 2 piece rotors are done I'll replace them with E550 brakes as long as they fit.. Ive researched many cars with 2 piece rotors vs 1 piece rotors and the difference is not worth it

Seriously, you can engine brake this thing most of the time unless you live at a traffic congested area. I have actually tried my short commute home using only the engine brake, and I only had to step on the brake when I pulled into the garage.

Just hold the left paddle and it will take you to the 2nd gear most of the time. When it has gotten down to the 2nd, pull on the left paddle again will force it down to the 1st most of the time even if you are in C mode; and you get that abrupt deceleration you get with a new driver learning to brake.

Or you can install and throw out an anchor. LOL

The C63 had different rotors for the non-performance cars. I assumed it was the same for the E63.

+1,

C63 Rotors #: "204 421 12 12", or E55/SL55 Rotors #: "230 421 07 12",

they may need a little adjust to fit properly.....
