Bad news from sales manager (soup nazy ie Seinfeld!) - "No E63 wagon for you!"

The deal as it stands would be OK if i could have it "new" (first driver). I think it is not possible for them to sell as "new" so that is why they propose to make car an MB fleet car and then sell it. In that case the price has to be a lot lower: off the lot it goes down close to cost (-14000), plus the fact that it is damaged (probably really well covered by the WW insurance) i think anything less than -16-18000$ is not acceptable.
I dont think I will reorder a new one. If they cant offer a good deal on this one I will walk... Been debating options last night and found a couple of used 2013 911's in the area. I could have a used C4S as a dedicated sports car and change to spare on a family hauler (honda pilot or something similar...).
The ball is in their camp. They have to think "minimise losses" instead of "make a profit".
I dont think I will reorder a new one. If they cant offer a good deal on this one I will walk... Been debating options last night and found a couple of used 2013 911's in the area. IMHO, i wouldn't take that deal....at least not for what they are offering. 6K on a repaired and USED car that will carry that damage on it's carfax sheet just isn't enough.

I was at the dealer yesterday here in Mississauga, they have a matte grey 14' S wagon with a red interior in the used section... don't know all the details but i'm sure if you call the dealer they can give you more info

I would demand they fix the car back to pristine condition, no1 drives it, you receive it with 0 miles, and on top of that they take off the 6K.. If not, tell them to screw! and they will be stuck with a "hard to sell" pre owned car.

My guess is that in order for the car to be fixed and released without a bad carfax, carproof, autocheck, they have to have it go out as an executive demo first.
If it is a 2 month process, why not wait another month and get a new one in May?

Thats what I think also... Since I lease i dont care about carfax. Just give me the car fixed plus rebate and we have a deal!

No better deal on car... Decided to let it go. MB Canada will manage it, probably doing what they proposed me with someone else. Thinking about new order (2014 vs wait for 2015). Vacation week in Cancun will be welcome... Last 24h has been an emotional rollercoaster!

I went to the dealer just now to pick up my wagon and asked a sales guy. The car was sold and belongs to a customer already, just happened to be inside when I was there the other day. Sorry dude!

Thanks Canuck! I checked with my dealer and he only found 2 unsold wagons in eastern canada, one cashmere white and the other black, loaded except CCB.
Just coming back from Volvo dealer to inquire about new polestar V60. Half the price, looks good (more modern design inside and out than the E class), pretty good performance numbers, exclusivity (only 6 in Canada, maybe already sold sales rep is inquiring), available in june as a 2015 model... I always loved swedish wagons so I might be getting a little sister to the Saab... Some thinking will be going on for sure in the next days.

Sorry Kart, just read this post. That is depressing after such a long wait. Maybe it happened for a reason though, that's how I always try to think about things. Maybe a lighter car might be the answer, something like a 911, those are more fun to drive, you can really whip them around unlike the heavy benz. Too bad they don't make a 911 Wagon, that would be the ultimate.

Me personally I'd get a used one with under 5k miles. There are used s models out there already from 90-92k. 15k off sticker. Man these things depreciate.
