Hello All,
I am new here. Coming from a E92 M3 & X5 Diesel. Just placed an order for a Black on Black E63 AMG S. Just wanted to know what the general experience has been with the car and what mods you all suggest.

Also need some feedback on what kind of lease deals you all got when you picked up your E63 AMG. The Dealer said I can get the AMG for $1400 a month with nothing down for 24 months / 12K miles. Is it a good deal?

Its Base AMG S. Didn't add a thing. The Base AMG S has a lot of standard options that I am good with.

I'm with you! That means no pano, too.

I love the pano on a white car but I don't care for the added weight. So I decided not to get pano at all. I chose black on black. Wish they did carbon fiber roofs.

I would opt for no sunroof of any kind. That choice (full metal roof) is actually available on an E63 in other countries.

I would opt for no sunroof either if possible. Sunroofs tend make creaking noise as the car ages and not to mention the added ~35lbs of weight!

Congrats, I have a diamond white S w pano, traded my E92 m3 and I couldnt be happier. I have owned 7 M3, and I dont miss it at all. I had the E since August. Your lease sounds good.

Thanks! Thats good to hear that you came from M3s and you don't miss them at all. I have always had either M3s or M5. First time, I am getting in MB world. I was hoping I won't regret it. Sounds like I won't. The lease did seem good, hopefully there are no catches when the car get here. I couldn't decide between the wagon and sedan. I just love the way the wagon looks but in the end opted for the sedan

There must be something up here. That lease is insane cheap for 24 months with 12k a year. Something doesn't add up.

I was told there is no tax on this lease. I am also getting corporate discount and discount for switching over from BMW. I was not really serious about buying but when I heard the price I said "I will take it!"

So you got $2500 for switching from a BMW and $2500 fleet discount?

yea I was expecting only $1K but he was like no you get $2500. He said its because I have always owned BMWs and this is my first MB. I got 6% of MSRP for fleet discount, I think thats close to $5K.

So from the responses I am getting on this board, looks like I got a good deal. Maybe I should have got two cars!

A base (no option) car is going to lease for ~$200 less than a typically-optioned unit for 3 months.
