E63 Wheel ideas?
Hi Everybody,
I want to get a nice set of wheels for my ride this spring / summer.
Looking for something thats in a black finish, and multispoke.
I like the look of the Vorsteiner V-308's, but I also heard they cost around $10k. I'm looking to spend around $3-5k max with rubbers as well.
I don't want to get anything that's a generic brand such as TSW, but yet I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg either. I won't feel good about myself if I am cruising around with some cheap wheels they would sell at Costco LOL, but I also would feel stupid spending 20% of what I paid on the vehicle for wheels, when there are other thing I would rather spend that money on.
I am located in Canada, and I am open to the idea of purchasing online or internationally as long as its from a reputable retailer and I'm not going to get raped on duties + shipping.
Any suggestions?

I got a quote for 19" M52-Rs and with tires, TPMS and shipping in the US it was almost $7k....
Maybe check the flow forged wheels by Vorsteiner? V-FF101.

You are not supposed to powdercoat forged wheels. Painting is OK, but powdercoating is not recommended (by those in the industry) due to the temp exposure and weakening of the aluminum which is already at interesting tolerances. You can certainly do it, but do you really want to take the risk... e.g. a wheel spoke cracking while you are going around a mountain turn?
