2008 Saab 93 TurboX SC (BSR stage 1)/2014 E63 S Wagon (Rebellion Tuned/Renntech Sport Mufflers)
As the freeze date for the build is getting closer I'm trying to find some info on the 2015 MY. A search on this forum showed the DOG for 2015 S class out since february with a SOP in may... My dealer in Canada does not have any info yet but I was wondering if US market dealers had info. By this date last year the 2014 DOG were out but it was a refresh year...
I'm not expecting and looking for any mechanical changes but there are a couple of options that would make me consider waiting for 2015...
1- passenger side massage/multicontour seats
2- updated night package with no chrome at all
3- better command/iphone integration (apple's new partnership with MB is going to show up...
4- available heated steering wheel
5- more vibrant color choices instead of 50 shades of grey...
6- third row seating... In my dreams!
If any insiders are reading, any help appreciated! As soon as my dealer gets info I'll post them also!

1. Unlikely. If it does, I am retrofitting. haha
2. Doubtful, they would have done it that way to begin with. Other cars with the night package still have chrome. BMW does this one right with the shadowline trim.
3. Unlikely. NTG5 is required and will require the iPad screen. The CLS refresh looks to be getting it. Who knows, it might happen.
4. Non of the AMG performance steering wheels are heated.
5. Get Red! haha
6. Unlikely.
My sales guy is on vacation, but he likely has the same info you guy has.

Things I want to see are options that will put the W212 on par with the W205. Right now the W205 is shaping up to be a better buy that a W212.

I wonder what MB is going to add for 2015 to justify the MY change. I doubt it will be anything significant. However, they can always up the power, like with 2015 SL 63's hp up to 585hp. Of course, if you keep on waiting for better things around the corner, you will end up with nothing. It's like chasing tails.

I agree but the point is the car is getting produced in the last batch of 2014... might as well inquire about changes and wait it out a bit more if significant. But if it stays unchanged I'll go with 2014 to finally drive it before I retire!

I have been looking into getting a E63S Wagon for European Delivery later this year (or RS7, can't decide). I was informed by me dealer that the MY 2015 E class will not be available until late fall 2014. This info felt wrong given the start date for MY2014. I would be interested if anyone could shed some light.
Thanks!
Thanks!

2014 e63 s model
I just went through the process of ordering my E63S for European delivery and may have a little insight (if you haven’t done this before). Interesting that I was essentially comparing the same two cars (Only I ordered the E63 S sedan - not wagon). First MB (Audi too) is really looking for a 4 month lead time (order to delivery). I was just able to scrape by with 3+ months and a lot of nagging (I will be picking it up in early June). Seems they like to have the car complete weeks in advance to allow for manufacturing issues/strikes etc. Since you will have made plans well in advance for travel and hotel stays etc. - it would be best for MB to have a car waiting for you when you get there. I suppose anything else would lead to horrible customer relations. My Audi was a European delivery and was completed 6 weeks before I arrived (Note that the car has to be paid for once it is built). BTW MB is now including a discount for the 2014 E class AMG when you take European delivery (Audi does not for their RS models).
If you factor in the 4-6 week time after the car can be produced, I would figure that gets you well into fall. The other thing you may want to think about is this: can they deliver the car if it gets into the winter months? Germany does not allow summer tires to be driven over the winter months(there are some hefty fines involved). I had to wait until May 2 (May 1 is a holiday in Germany) to pick up the Audi (An S model) as it came with summer tires and Audi refused to deliver the car before then due to the tire issue.
Hope this sheds a little light on your question.

Out of respect to the dealer please email me at walt1219@yahoo.com for the details. The guy was real low key, and I would like to keep a good relationship.

Nope- DOG and Ordering Banks will likely open up sometime in June. I'm going to be the second person to know when it opens up, right after my salesperson emails me the DOG. I'll be sure to post it here.

2015 DOG for Canada is out. No change except the car now comes with Collisions Prevention Assist Plus This basically adds partial autonomous braking.
Another change for Canada is that the Non S model is discontinued. You can only get the S model now. Both sedan and wagon.
