S63 stock 20 inch wheels fit on E63
Hello MBWorld!
My first post, and maybee an easy one for you guys.
I have a E63 sedan from 2010, lowered about 30 mm with the stock 19 inch AMG rims. They are 9x19 255x35x19 in front and 9,5x19 285x30x19 in back.
Can't seem to find the ET for front and back rims, read somewhere that they are ET51 in on the back 9,5x19?
Well, the question is that I really like the design of the stock rims, but I do want a more agressive look that 20 inch wheels gives the car.
Is it possible to fit the 20 inch rims from the S63? They are from what I have read 8,5x20 front and 9,5x20 back both beeing ET43.
Many thanks in advance!

Step 1: Use this website to find the wheel's offsets: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/mercedes_alloy_wheels
Step 2: Run the before and after offsets into this offset calculator to see how much more the wheel will extend/detract from the inside and outside edges. Then go to your car and see if this amount of difference will work with your car: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator

Thanks for the links, very helpful.
From what I can see they will fit. A bit strange that the front rim is 9 inch wide on the E63 and only 8,5 on the bigger S63.
Has anyone tried it, putting those 20 inch wheels on the E63?

That really is kind of strange, given that S63 is bigger and heavier. But maybe it's because of those attributes that MB decided to give it narrower front rims to give it slightly more maneuverability than using 9".

Cost cutting without a significant/proven loss of performance?
They gotta cut costs somewhere
Is the S63 4-magic?

Thanks for the input.
I'm about to pull the trigger on those rims. Only thing I'm worriyng about is the front wheels that in my calculations will be more centered and not as close to the fenders compared to what is desirable. ET on the 20 inch rims are bigger at "only" 8,5.
Any ideas?

Yeah just throw a spacer on it to get the spacing just right. I'm running 15 and 20mm spacers on my R with OEM rims and extended bolts with no problems.

Thanks, what R are you driving?
Did not think of spacers...of course thats the answer to the front.
You think the difference in ET (51 to 41) will cause any problems in the back, going from 19x9,5 to 20x9,5 inches? Will probably run 285x25x20 on the back and 245x30x20 in front.

I think the S rims will stick out ~10mm more than what you have right now in the rear. Go to your car with a yardstick and a ruler to see if 10mm more width is the look you want. I find that in general, you can run a 5-10mm spacer on MB AMG cars to get that flush look but you won't really know 100% until it's on the car exactly how it looks.
My R is an R63 AMG on 21X9 ET60 OEM AMG rims.

The rear will fit with no spacers.
With the sized tires (245/) you want to run, I would use the 20mm spacers up front. I am running a 19x8.5 et35 with 255/35/19 and a 15mm spacer on the front and its pretty flush with a little more room to go to make it ultra flush. I intend to drop back down to a 10mm spacer and go wider on the front with my next set of tires.
My rear is a 19x10 et40 and its as flush as you can get running 275/30/19. Its debatable as to whether a 285 wide tire will fit so I stuck with the 275. I will drop back to a et55 with a 5mm spacer so I can run a 295 or 305 rear tire for my next set

The front will require large spacers, either 15 or 20mm spacers depending on how aggressive you want to go. Both these spacers will work, obviously the 20mm will be more flush but the 15mm will still be decently aggressive.
