CLS63 S vs E63 S
I'm considering an E63 or CLS63 as my next car. My dealer claims the cls63 suspension is a little more sport oriented/harsh than the e63. Is this nonsense or correct? Anyone know the real story here?
Thanks in advance.
I have driven a 2014 E63 S and really really liked it. My one reservation but it's probably not a deal breaker is the comand system. My wife drives a new E350 4Matic wagon and in my opinion, compared to my BMW, comand is inferior. Anyone know when it's scheduled to be updated?
Faz, where are u getting your numbers ? Respectfully, my data comes from Benz, car and driver, motortrend, road and track, and motorweek
Also cls starts off at higher price slightly

CLS is more expensive and seem to hold their value slightly better, from what I've witnessed during my hunt.
CLS and E use the same materials (my dash is the same leather as the E63)
Acceleration seem to be on Par with one another. (4-Matics)
E63's are more practical. (better egress/ingress, back seat)
Hope this helps

The CLS will have the command system updated this fall. No word on when the E will, if ever.
my 500sel nav system is better than the E's and it doesnt even have one
Never said it was pretty, but it will have some updated features that will bring it more up to date. Considering where it comes from though, that isn't saying a whole lot.

I believe that they are too similar, it comes down to which look you like, my brothers CLS550 and cousins CLS63, are practically the same interior, on the inside (considering the massive bonnet) it feels a lot lower with the small windows as well, and pretty tight int he back considering it's a "sedan" it is very "coupe like" in the back seats, far too tight for the size of the car, giving the CLS it's characteristics (thus "CoupeLikeSedan") As for the exterior, it comes down to personal taste, both are beautiful, I personally went with the 14' 63 because of the refresh, felt like i grabbed something brand new from MB, they had a CLS63S there as well, but i felt like it already had aged, and didn't have the time to wait on the facelift dropping soon, perhaps the facelift really sparks up the car again.
