Has anyone tried taller 40 series front, 35 series rear 19" tires?

The current shoes everyone uses (35 front/30 rear) are 26" in diameter. A 40/35 series set would be 26.7-26.9" in diameter. The only clearance issue looks to be with the front tires rubbing the rear at steering lock, but it looks like the .4-.5" wouldn't necessarily rub.
I'd like to improve the ride and slightly lower the road noise when running the all-seasons in the winter, but 18" wheels don't look right and are tough to spec on the car. I realize there would be a 2mph error (too low) in in speedo at 60.
Anyone try it or consider trying it?

Yeah but the greys from the stock 10/11 wheels no longer looks good with the car, and these are available in 19's...

Which I -think- would look great on the black wagon.

Yeah but I have other sports cars and other cars that ride roughly for a reason. This is a fast station wagon that I commute in. Going to 25/30 on 20's would look good and potentially significantly ruin the functionality of the car.
