Rattles/Noises. What have you got and how did you fix them?
The only problem with a quiet car is that little tiny noises start to drive you crazy.
- My driver's movable shoulder-belt anchor his a high-pitched rattle on anything but smooth pavement. I'm getting ready to completely dis assemble that pillar if thats what it takes to get rid of this noise. Its so close to my ear!
- The rear video screens wobble/vibrate if they are tilted in either extreme. I just have to reach back and put them straight up/down.
Any easy solutions? Have dealers been receptive to rattles/noises?

Hi cnolke,
You also got that annoying creak and some rattles.I will tell you what my
experience and how i did eliminate it.When i am turning left and the xm
radio is not on i always hear 2 or 3 clicks, i really am not sure where it
is coming from, lately i found out that it is coming from the seat railing
the short solution i did was raise the seat to a maximum without my
head hitting the ceiling.I hope this helps even a bit
Good luck

Not really a rattle but when I have the front windows down and it's windy the passenger seat belt and clip flops around and hits the plastic between the b pillar and plastic on the passenger seat ... So annoying that I have to buckle the seatbelt in order to avoid this

I had so many rattles, creaks and noises in my 1978 Plymouth Volare but they all went away the day I installed my new BOUM BOUM stereo Amps set !

From the start I have had a number (4-5) of bad rattles and buzzes in my wagon that just shouldn't be there. My dealer has been quite receptive to helping me resolve what we can both hear. After the dealer found and fixed two I'm left with buzzes at the driver's door wood insert that happens at many places except in the dealership area and a buzzing inside the rear view mirror, though somewhat infrequently, but very annoying when it happens.
I may just pay for a new mirror and get on with loving the car. I'm hesitant to have them replace the door trim as the new piece may not match as well as the original piece which is what they may try to fix the issue. Stuffing a wad of something springy between the leading edge of the door trim and the end of the dash trim does take care of it but I hate to have to resort to that. It's just not cricket.

The B&O tweeters for me creak and insane amount when traveling over rough roads...at first I thought I blew the speakers, just to discover the housing was making the noise. I can press the black top piece and the silver bottom piece with my fingers to try and move the housing slightly but it always comes back. I intend on having the dealer look at it next time I am in.

Too Many Creaks and Rattles
I have a buzz in the rear seat area that surfaces at certain RPM ranges. I have spoke to the dealer about it, of course they think I'm crazy.
The speaker grill in the dash will buzz when I have a phone call going. That is an annoying one for sure.
I also have nasty creaks and rattles in the pano roof. They have tried to work on this a couple of times. That item is going to get me to unload this car early as the roof will literally "pop" when going in to a driveway (of course, not at the dealer) I have had that happen with clients in the car. Not as embarrassing to me as it is to MB.
